Another sneak peek into our first hospitality project, a three-room boutique hotel in Marfa. This little oasis is meant to be a place where guests can enjoy the desert landscape with good food and drinks, as part of an extension to the hotel is a chef’s table restaurant and bar.
When designing the project, there was a strong need to understand the vision and the ambition of this place. The circulation had to be free-flowing and flexible so that spaces, especially public spaces, did not have distinct boundaries. We had to identify how to best allow for natural ventilation in each space, taking into consideration the guests visiting Marfa, who undoubtedly made the journey to fully embrace the desert landscape. #OWIUdesign
