With this loop, @frontdesign wanted to create a lightness to the FOLK series. It also draws inspiration from a sprout growing from one root and continuing upwards🌱 All small subtleties that ends up giving the series a natural look perfect for the outdoor environment🌼🌳

CODE in mixed colours are always a good idea - here in a unique formation at @toyentorg in Oslo🧡 CODE consists of one box that can be combined both horizontally and vertically with other similar modules into various formations🧩

The last and final step of production is assembly🛠 Our furniture is delivered more or less ready-assembled from the factory. Only screws and attachments made from stainless or acid-resistant steel are used to secure a solid product all the way through🙌 Prior to packaging and transport, the products are subjected to a thorough quality check in order to ensure that they comply with our strict craft and finishing requirements. Every step of production has sustainability and durability in mind, so you can have furniture lasting for decades in your projects WORLDWIDE😊🌍⠀

Let us take you through the next step in our production process🎬 After the steel has been hot-dip galvanized it can be powder coated, which gives the structure additional protection as well as giving you the choice between nearly 200 different RAL colours🌈 The powder coating itself contains no solvents and is applied electrostatically using advances nozzles. The process has been developed in Norway in order for the oil rigs to cope with the North Sea, but we use it for our furniture to make them capable to handle the outdoors and any kind of weather🌦 The final step of production is just around the corner - stay tuned...

Time for hot-dip galvanizing🎬 After the steel has been cut and welded to perfection in our facility in Torsby, all components are hot-dip galvanized in a solution of pure, liquid zinc at a constant temperature of 450 degrees celsius🌡 The zink-bath is heated with the use of renewable energy, meaning zero harmful emissions. The galvanizing-treatment extends the products’ life considerably by creating a rust-resistant alloy making our furniture able to stand the outdoors for several decades. And making you spare both your wallet and the environment on not having to buy new due to low product durability🌍 After being hot-dip galvanized the next step in our line of production is powder coating - we’ll show you next time.

As number three in our chain of production, our facility in Torsby is up🇸🇪 Or «The steel factory» as we call it, designed by @snohetta and running on renewable energy. The steel used in our furniture has a thickness between 3 and 16 mm, and every steel plate and steel pipe is cut using advanced laser machines with high precision minimizing the use of resources. The welding process takes place both manually and by using automated welding robots, and all components are treated with maximum strength and durability in mind💪 To optimize the products’ longevity even further, hot-dip galvanizing is the next step in the line of production - coming to you tomorrow🎬

Next up in our production process is steel🎬 We know that the steel industry generates between 7% and 9% of direct emissions from the global use of fossil fuel. It’s our job to know, and knowing makes us responsible to choose wiser and better for people and planet. In the Nordic countries, the carbon footprint of steel production is 30% lower than the world average, so for us, it’s key to use a local supplier. We use Nordic high-strength steels from the Swedish supplier @ssab, who has been at the forefront of sustainability in many ways. Their plan is to eliminate all of their CO2 emissions by 2045, and Vestre has already ordered their fossil-free steel «Hybrit». PS: All our steel components come with a lifetime warranty against rust! Choose quality, durability, and sustainability🌍 Next time we’ll show you how the production in our facility in Torsby works - stay tuned.

Let us take you through our production process, starting with the use of wood🌲 As a standard, we use high-quality, environmentally certified pine from Scandinavia. Due to the cool climate here the trees grow slower than in warmer areas of the world, allowing them to become older and therefore stronger before being cut down. This makes them a better fit for outdoor furniture which has to withstand all kinds of weather⛈ The wood is sorted and quality assured prior to treatment using advanced CNC machinery. The finished details are then impregnated with natural linseed oil in order to prevent rot. All this allowing us to offer you a sustainable, durable product with a 15-year warranty against rot🙌 The next step in our production process is steel - to be continued…
